Safety
AES is a quality managed, safety-oriented, provider of heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance and service trucks. We work with our clients to create and implement best practice health and safety systems that not only meet all legislative and due diligence requirements, but also foster a strong organisational health and safety culture.
We continue to invest time and effort in the development of our well-defined OHS&E Management System. We aim to create and uphold a culture where health and safety are the most important part of the day, ensuring each and every one of our employees go home safely and without injury.
We aim to create a safety culture where our people:
- see safety as the most important part of their day to day duties both at work and at home;
- take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their team mates;
- are constantly seeking improvements to safety in the workplace;
- have the belief that all accidents are preventable; and
- are reporting all near misses, hazards, incidents and accidents for future prevention.
Environment
Protecting the environment is a critical issue and a key responsibility of the mining business and corporate community. The benefits of environmental protection for current and future generations are clear and we acknowledge that reducing unnecessary waste and minimising consumption of scarce resources is consistent with ongoing financial sustainability in terms of meeting the expectations of our customers, reducing costs and minimising risks. We have invested resources into this area and are currently working on several important environmental initiatives that will lead to better outcomes for all.
